JOB OFFER. Junior Trader in our Zürich office
What you will do
- Reporting to the Global Head of Trading, you will primarily support the trading activities of the company in different products and regions
- You will conduct market studies, supply and demand analysis, assist in the execution of the contracts and contribute to the optimal performance of the physical trades
- You will be assigned to develop certain products and accounts. Under the supervision of the Trading Head, you will perform trading transactions, negotiate sales and purchases, implement the necessary logistics, manage the financial requirements and coordinate the execution
- You will serve as contact of all parties involved in the transaction, internal and external counterparts
- You will record the activity in the CTRM system, maintain the position list, and adhere to the risk management policy
- You will develop long term relationships with customers and suppliers
- You will actively seek for new business opportunities, and to develop new products and regions
- You will travel when required and will represent the company in conferences and industry gatherings
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three to five years of relevant work experience in trading, ideally combined with commercial analyst and logistics expertise
- Detailed knowledge of commodity trading, shipping and container transportation
- Fluent in English and other major language -preferably Spanish
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Multicultural
- Performance driven, proactive, self-motivated and excellent communications skills
- Ability to execute multiple tasks, to meet deadlines and to work under pressure
