Hexagon is pleased to announce the official opening of Hexagon Polska Sp. z o.o., effective 1 March 2026.

The launch follows the successful creation of Hexagon France and represents a further step in the Group’s continued European expansion.

The new Polish entity strengthens Hexagon’s presence in a key strategic fertilizer market. Poland’s strong economic fundamentals and central position in Europe provide an attractive platform for sustainable growth and for further reinforcing the Group’s solid footprint across European fertilizer markets.

Mathias Eisert has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hexagon Polska and will lead the Company’s operations and strategic development in the region. His focus will be on building a strong local platform, fostering long-term partnerships, and creating synergies across Hexagon’s European operations to drive disciplined growth.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Commodity Trader at Hexagon Trading AG, you will start with a training program covering all areas of our operations, gaining the foundational knowledge and skills for a flourishing career in the commodities sector. This role is designed for those who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our ongoing success in the global marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a training program covering operations, chartering, market analysis, and trading strategies.
  • Develop an understanding of the commodity markets and the drivers influencing prices and market trends.
  • Gain knowledge on the international trade flows, logistics involved and means of transportation.
  • Work with the Operations team to understand the supply chain management and support the execution of commodity trades.
  • Assist senior traders in market research, data analysis, and business development.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the sector, either full time or part time jobs or internships
  • Strong interest in commodities and basic knowledge of the sector
  • Excellent multi-lingual and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to process complex information accurately and efficiently.
  • A team player with a high level of motivation and a proactive attitude.

Hexagon Trading Expands its Fertilizer Activities into Latin America and Canada

Hexagon Trading is pleased to announce that Mr. Iulian Harja is joining the company as Vice President Latin America. Iulian’s successful career spans over 25 years in the fertilizer industry. He started at Trammo in Switzerland and spent the following 20 years for the company in various locations including Sao Paulo, Guatemala City, Mexico City and Tampa. After regional responsibilities in Brazil and in Central America he became in charge of the entire region. The last four years he worked for Eurochem as Vice President Latin America and Canada.

 

Santiago Orol, CEO of Hexagon Trading, says: “We are proud that Iulian has decided to join Hexagon, and we are convinced that he will put us on the map in Latin America and in Canada”, and Christian Wendel, President of Hexagon Group AG adds: “It feels like a family member is coming home. We are pleased to announce that Ms. Sinem Kirik has joined Hexagon Trading as representative for Turkey, effective today. Sinem has several years experience in the fertilizer industry; her most recent employment has been with Gübretas where she has been working as an executive manager since 2017.

 

Emrah Basaran, Hexagon’s Global Head Fertilizer Trading stated: “We have known Sinem for several years, and we are happy and proud that she has agreed to join our team. Turkey has been a key market for Hexagon from day one, and we are convinced that Sinem will help us to further expand our position both in fertilizers, raw materials and water soluble fertilizers”.
