Hexagon Group AG Invests in a Brand New Ammonium Sulphate Compaction Plant in China

Joint Venture with Lucky Grace International

Lucky Grace International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and Hexagon Group AG are pleased to announce the formation of their joint venture company “An Li Jia”.

An Li Jia will produce one million tons of compacted ammonium sulphate at its brand new plant located at the port of
Yangzhou (Jiangsu Province); the first production line is expected to be ready by mid 2025. The product will be marketed globally  by both partners. “This new plant is a perfect fit to our two existing production sites in China and will further enhance our strong position in the global market”, says Ms. Lynn Yim, Managing Director of Lucky Grace.

 

“We are truly proud and happy that we could team up with a first class and quality-focused partner like Lucky Grace”, says Christian Wendel, Hexagon Group AG’s President, and he added “getting involved in production has been our goal since we started our company back in 2018.” Both companies plan to ship the product to various destinations both in Asia and overseas.

Hexagon Group AG Supports the Communities Affected by the Flooding in Valencia, Spain
Hexagon Group AG Supports the Communities Affected by the Flooding in Valencia, Spain
Following the recent severe storms and devastating flooding around Valencia, Spain, Hexagon Group AG is making a donation to support the affected communities.

A portion of this donation has been directed to the Spanish Red Cross, which is actively assisting victims and supporting reconstruction efforts on the ground.

Hexagon Group AG Extends a Helping Hand to Morocco: Aiding Earthquake Relief Efforts

In the wake of a devastating 6.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Morocco on September 9, 2023, Hexagon is taking immediate action to support relief efforts in the affected regions. The earthquake wreaked havoc on large areas of the country, resulting in the destruction of numerous homes and critical infrastructure, including hospitals and schools, and displacing thousands of children and their families.

In response to this crisis, Hexagon is committed to making a positive impact by donating USD 20,000 to support relief efforts in Morocco. The contributions will be equally distributed among three reputable NGOs, selected for their track record and ability to efficiently manage and allocate funds to those in need. These organizations include:

 

1. La Banque Alimentaire: With a mission focused on alleviating hunger, La Banque Alimentaire is playing a crucial role in ensuring that affected families have access to essential food supplies, particularly in the hardest-hit areas.

 

2. Care Maroc: Care Maroc is at the forefront of disaster response efforts, providing immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation support to communities affected by the earthquake.

 

3. SOS Villages d’Enfants: Dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable members of society, SOS Villages d’Enfants is actively working to ensure that children and families impacted by the earthquake have access to shelter, care, and the resources required to rebuild their lives.

Hexagon’s donation is aimed at expediting the provision of critical supplies and assistance, in the face of the ongoing disaster in Morocco. Our hope is to provide support in this time of need, as we stand in solidarity with the affected communities, and strive to aid their recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Today we attended the ZCA and HFW Seminar at Parkhotel Zug about Dealing with Sanctions Enforcement and Regulators Worldwide. The event brought together different industry leaders to discuss valuable insights and updates on EU, UK, Swiss, and US sanctions against Russia and ultimate beneficial ownership issues in counterparts.

The event offered valuable insights and updates on EU, UK, Swiss, and US sanctions against Russia, types of oil, and ultimate beneficial ownership issues in counterparts. The presentations by HFW London Partners and Investigations and Enforcement specialists Barry Vitou and Anne-Marie Ottaway, along with HFW Geneva sanctions’ expert Sarah Hunt, shed light on recent developments in sanctions against Russia and offered guidance on remaining sanctions-compliant through solid compliance systems and KYC.

Zurich, March 2023 – We, at Hexagon Group AG, are excited to announce our partnership with ETH Zurich to support the BiodivX project, which aims to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity on our planet through interdisciplinary research, teaching, and outreach.


As a company that offers merchandising, marketing, and logistics services to various industries, including mining, fertilizer, petroleum, petrochemical, and chemical sectors, we believe that commodities can be produced and consumed in a responsible manner. Hexagon Group AG invited – and (almost) everybody came. George Nette, CFO of Hexagon Group AG, welcomed more than thirty bankers. Mr. Nette kicked off the event by thanking the bankers for their support, their understanding and their co-operation extended to the entire Group AG. In the presence of Christian Wendel, President of Hexagon Group AG, and the three CEO’s of the sister companies, Mr. Nette thereafter explained the changes that have been introduced and implemented during the past six to nine months.


Cocktails and a sit down dinner rounded up the official part of the event. Rumors were saying, though, that a considerable number of bankers had been seen in the bar till late…

Support to the Turkey and Syria Earthquake

We are all shocked and appalled by the enormous quake that struck Turkey and Syria on Monday. As you may be aware, the impact of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake has been widespread and many communities have been severely affected. We give our coworkers, their families, friends, and all those touched there our sincere thoughts and sympathy for the devastation and unfathomable number of fatalities.
